Two days old

I am now nearly two days old and show my face for the first time to my mama and papa. They got so excited......I don't know what all the fuss is about......what I really like is not having this breathing thing shoved up my nose.....what a relief! And even better I am less yellow now so they have taken this stupid blue light away and I don't have to cover my eyes any more, great! The next thing is a bit delicate......my nappie got changed and my mama insisted to see my little willie for the first time! How could she doubt that I am a boy?!?
And then the day got even better.....for the first time I was allowed out of this warm but lonely box....and then bliss!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was lying on my mummy....I had missed her so much......her smell sooo delicious, her heart so soothing and I was feeling so safe! This must be the best place in the world! And then: Mama and Papa kissed me all over....again for the very first time.....this was sooo nice!!!!

You can see me here in bliss.....I have to giggle a little seeing this picture....the hat, major fashion disaster!!!!

After some time my mummy started to wiggle and wiggle and then they put me back into this warm box. Not fair!!!! I wanted to stay on my mummy's chest forever!!!!! I just love skin to skin!

Just as I thought this is it for the day..... lying peacefully in my box....they woke me up, quite rudely and put me on my papa's chest! Very nice I have to admit, but not as nice as on mummy's chest....... too much hair!!!! But much better then the warm box!




I got a bit worried: mummy looked so tired and exhausted. I hope she will sleep better tonight, she told me she has now got a room on her own....no more other babies screaming keeping her awake....mind you, that will be soon my job, ha ha!











Can't wait to see what tomorrow brings......
Night night

One day old

Wow what a place!
I have been born yesterday......7 weeks early!
That was so scary.........
And I got myself in a right mess......
Nobody told me to lie head down in my mummy's tummy and I ended up lying square, my head being squashed under my mummy's ribs. I was nicely floating and kicking as suddenly somebody pulled the plug and all the water around me disappeared. I tried to stop it by putting my foot in the hole, didn't work! And then it got really tight as all walls around me started to squeeze me and I had nowhere to go, scary I tell you. But it got worse...........
Now my mummy started to worry, that freaked me out. Thank God my papa stayed cool.....
Suddenly I knew the time was up and they were going to get me out of what used to be such a cosy place. Papa made sure that I had the best birth doctor but hey did he struggle! It took ages to pull me out I got so stuck he had to make the whole bigger and bigger......
When my head eventually poped I was so blue and limp.......
I was so lucky to be born in a place where they have a baby doctor waiting....boy did I need it!
Breathing was so difficult!!!!!!
they put a mask on my face and that made it a bit easier. there was not even time to say hello to mummy.....at least I managed to see papa......he is so tall.....and off I went to this place where they keep all those tiny little babies.
I knew I was safe but I didn't like them putting needles into me and other horrible tubes. And all these awful noises and the lights sooo bright......They could have warned me, couldn't they?
I was so excited to see papa again.....and then my big sister Jenna, but I wanted to see my mama!!!! She looked exhausted, even spaced out.....and I thought it was tough only for me...

Now I am already a day old. My breathing is much easier and I love to show my mama and papa what a strong fighter I am! They give me now some of mummies milk, yummy......can't wait to do the real thing and suck her breast! I would also love to lie on mama's and papa's chest but hey I look so frail the nurses caring for me don't think this is a good idea, hopefully tomorrow.
I have 2 more sisters...I wonder when they will visit me????
